This program requires that players have taken at least 2 sessions of the Preschool Learn to Skate program or are playing in their first year of Initiation minor hockey.
Players will learn the fundamental skills of puck control and maintaining puck possession while moving in open areas, tight spaces and while remaining stationary.
This program is for all first year B (Tier 2) and all C (Tier 3) players.
This program requires full hockey gear.
This program will teach players how to effectively handle the puck by breaking down each motion into its fundamental steps, repeating these mechanics relentlessly and combining the pieces into fluid movements once the mechanics have been established. Upon the skills becoming second nature, players will be challenged in various ways while handling the puck that will speed up their hands both in open areas and tight spaces.
