The Canlan Ice Sports Ringette Academy offers a variety of programs that cater to youth and adults from beginners to seasoned veterans. Ringette is a national sport that is known for its precision and technical skating.
All participants in the Ringette Academy are taught the fundamentals of skating and ring control as well as the basics of the game. In our higher levels of the Ringette Academy, players are conditioned and trained to have powerful strides and be leaders on ice.
The Ringette Academy programs are standardized nationally, so no matter where you participate, you’re ensured professional instruction and an unbeatable on-ice program.
This program has been designed to assist players wanting to improve their overall ringette skills. If players are wanting to play at an A or AA level in the fall, this program will assist in your development of reaching your goals. The program will include lots of agility, backwards skating, transitional movements. Passing, Receiving and shooting will also be covered. Passing/receiving drills will reflect lots of game situation play.
This program is 8 weeks (No session on the Monday of the long weekend)
The majority of all communication for this league will occur through email.
Volunteer Coaches are required for each individual team. We will host a Parents/Coaches meeting day and time to be determined
The league starts August 13th, 2018 we hope to be finished the Thursday before Saskatoon Ringette Tryouts start, this will be confirmed in further communication
Summer 3on3 Ringette League includes 12 games/Each is 45 minutes in length
Players have been registered according to the division they will be playing in for the fall/winter season of 2018/2019. Typically we don’t get the same numbers as Saskatoon Ringette does, there for age groups will be combined. Further information on the age combination will be available and communicated once registration deadline has closed.
A U8 age group maybe added to the this league, these teams would play half ice/ a little different than how SRA runs their half ice games
We struggle finding goalies for our league, so please invite your goalie friends to register
We can only accommodate 1 friend request
Each team will have 9 skaters and 1 goalie on them, in the event of no goalie teams may have 10 skaters on each team.
Games are played at Jemini and Agri Place Arena
Games will start as early as 430pm and are played Sunday through Thursday
