This program teaches young children basic skating skills following the Skate Canada CanSkate Program which is considered to be the essential basis for Figure Skating, Hockey and Speed Skating. The program intends to inspire confidence and enjoyment in skating. No skating skill is required.
Through this program, children can be selected to join our pre-competitive program, Junior Academy. This is where they start the fundamentals of Competitive figure skating. Skating Year Each skating year is divided into four terms: Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer with a short break in between.
New registration can be taken at any time during the term.

DISCOUNTS for multiple days or siblings will be applied when the registration is processed in the office. On line registrations are not final until confirmed with emailed receipt from us back to you! Give us a few days to process your cart request!
Skaters not yet registered with Skate Canada for the 2018/19 Skate Canada Season will also be charged a Skate Canada membership fee ($35.65/Code #14094). Please notify the office if you have already been registered for this with another Figure Skating Club in the season (Sept 1/18 - Aug 31/19).
HAPPY FEET FIGURE SKATING REGISTRATIONS cannot be done on line. Please call the Champs Office to register for this class. Code #13948 / Cost $140. 10 weeks of lessons. Sat Jan 5 to Sat Mar 9 (9:45 am - 10:30 am) All skaters must be referred by coaches from our Learn To Skate program for entry. Children must be under 8 years of age. Skaters wear certified CSA helmets and proper figure skates. CALL 778-331-3932 to register!
WAIT LIST: If a session is marked "SOLD OUT", please call our office (778-331-3932) to be wait listed. We will need your child's name, age and skill level to determine if we are able to take more children in our groups for your preferred session. Sessions may re-open for more available spots. Call our office to put your child's name down to be wait listed. We will call you back at our earliest convenience as we have lists confirmed for more skaters. Please note, the start of the term is very busy with many calls and registrations. Expect some delay if we are still managing numbers!
FIRST SKATING DAY:
Registrants must return their previous term Canskate Report Card for your new term of lessons. You may return report cards to the basket on the name tag/sign in table for the first day of lessons. Report cards from another program other than Canskate are not required to be submitted.
Dress warmly and don't forget your gloves! Skate ($2) and helmet ($1) rentals are available. Visit coaches in the Public Skate Shop 15 min prior to your session start. Plan to arrive on time for rentals as the skate shop closes at the start of the session. Purchasing your own equipment is advised.
