Because there's so much to learn, we offer a variety of programs to start you on the right skate.
   

  • This program teaches young children basic skating skills following the Skate Canada CanSkate Program which is considered to be the essential basis for Figure Skating, Hockey and Speed Skating. The program intends to inspire confidence and enjoyment in skating. No skating skill is required.

    Through this program, children can be selected to join our pre-competitive program, Junior Academy. This is where they start the fundamentals of Competitive figure skating. Skating Year Each skating year is divided into four terms: Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer with a short break in between.

    New registration can be taken at any time during the term.

2020 Spring Term Learn to Skate Brochure (March - May)

Scotia Barn is currently CLOSED for Covid 19 response.

The Spring term of Learn to Skate/ Happy Feet/ Adult & Teen Learn to Skate is now CANCELLED and all those registered will be issued a FULL REFUND for this term.  Please look for your emailed receipt and confirmation as we go through class lists to complete refunds in a timely manner while closed.   Refunds will be issued starting Wed March 18.

Information regarding re-opening for business and report card distribution will be posted here as it is available.

Our Summer term of Learn to Skate is scheduled for June 22-Aug 12.  Registration and information will be made available as soon as facility opening is confirmed.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

All skaters registered in the Skate Canada Learn to Skate Lessons MUST wear a Skate Canada CSA Approved Helmet.

Discounts available for multiple Learn To Skate registrations within the same family! Discounts will NOT SHOW in the online registration form but will be adjusted manually after online registration form is received.

Yearly Skate Canada fee of $43.65 will be added for each participant that has not previously been charged. This fee covers participation September 1st, 2019 to August 31st, 2020.
