Attention Peewee, Bantam, and Midget AA-AAA Competitive Level Players:

Elite Conditioning and Hockey Skills camp is designed for AA – AAA competitive level players. This camp will develop and strengthen each participant’s game speed, endurance and overall hockey skills. The drills are challenging and are performed at a level which requires discipline and stamina. Participants will test their athletic abilities on and off the ice with ourhockey-specific training programs designed to work on balance, speed, and agility. This hockey conditioning and training camp will enhance a player’s ability to perform on the ice. Camp includes 3 hours of on-ice training and 1 hour of off-ice conditioning.

All Fall Winter Spring Summer

High Performance Hockey Skills Camp

High Performance Hockey Skills Camp will focus on learning and practicing proper technique in skating and puck control to improve the players overall strength, agility and speed. All drills have been developed to properly train, and condition players.

With plenty of on-ice instruction daily, players will come out of this camp faster, stronger and ahead of the competition! This camp includes hockey specific off-ice training, additional sports and games that will challenge player’s athletic abilities in a positive environment!

Hockey Tips for Tots Camp

The Hockey Tips for Tots Camp is our longest running and most popular camps at Canlan Ice Sports. This camp is designed for children ages 4 – 6 years old with minimal hockey experience. This camp will teach the basics of the game in a positive and fun environment! Children in the Hockey Tips for Tots Camp are split up according to skill level and will learn individual skills as well as enjoy playing the game. Age appropriate drills will focus on powerskating, puck handling, passing, receiving, and shooting. Full hockey equipment is required. At the end of each ice session an assisted mini all-star hockey game is played! Additionally, this camp will include a variety of off-ice games and activities!

Super 6s And 7s Camp

Super 6 & 7’s participants will practice proper technique in all areas of skill development, while improving their individual skills, confidence and over all game play. Participants will receive instruction from our best instructors and every participant who takes this camp will finish faster, stronger and ahead of the competition. This camp will include a variety of off-ice sports, games and activities.

Learn to Skate Camp

In the Learn to Skate Camp, participants are split up on the ice according to skill level and all participants will learn and practice proper technique in all areas of the skating stride, edges, balance and stopping.

All skating skills are broken down to the simplest form so that players can understand what is expected in a positive and fun environment. This is a great camp to attend prior to joining Ringette, Hockey or advancing through additional skating programs.

This camp is taught by our best Skating Academy Instructors so that participants have the proper building blocks to continue skating. This camp will also include a variety of off-ice games and activities!

Body Contact And Checking Clinic

The Body Contact and Checking Clinic is intended to assist players make the transition to a full contact league or division, while learning proper techniques to take a hit and give a hit.

Players will be matched up equally and practice going into contact with someone similar height, weight, age and caliber. We take the participants through a five step program of body contact. 1. Stick Checks, 2. Sweep Checks, 3. Angling, 4. Receiving a hit, 5. Pursuing a hit.

Powerskating And Hockey Skills Camp

Powerskating & Hockey Skills combines basic fundamentals of hockey with fun on & off-ice games and activities.

Powerskating & Hockey Skills Camp is one of our most popular hockey camps in the summer. This camp is designed to keep hockey fun and give each individual participant a chance to improve immensely over a one week period. This improvement will include learning and practicing proper technique in skating, stickhandling, passing, receiving and shooting. It's not uncommon to have participants take up to five weeks of this camp per summer!

Choose this camp if your child wants to improve their overall playing ability and skating ability.

The basic fundamentals taught in this program are: Powerskating - Technique, Speed, Endurance, Agility, Balance, Acceleration, Edge Control, Positional Play, Quick Turns, Explosive Starts/Stops, Puck Control, Shooting & Scoring, Passing, Overall Intermediate Stickhandling Skills, Checking

Goaltender Training Camp

This camp is designed to develop a goaltender’s overall ability and technique by improving their balance, positioning and lateral mobility. Goalies will enhance their ability to perform in the net as they focus on angles, rebound control, playing the puck as well as practice defending against breakaways and rush attacks.
