Conveniently located off the Trans Canada Highway and centrally situated in the heart of the lower mainland, it’s a focal point among sports enthusiasts that offers recreational and entertainment activities for all ages.

This state-of-the-art, 250,000 square foot facility features six NHL-sized ice rinks, one indoor soccer field, and one dedicated figure skating rink that is home to the B.C. Centre of Excellence. Also included in the facility and overlooking all eight playing surfaces is the 1000 seat, full service, Thirsty Penguin Grillhouse which features a wide selection of menu items with the ability to cater to large group functions and special events. Our on site pro-shop, The Hockey Store, is well stocked with all the latest brand name gear to satisfy your hockey and soccer needs and provides a quality skate sharpening service allowing players the opportunity to have a clean edge each time they take to the ice.

Canlan Ice Sports Burnaby 8 Rinks also provides a wide variety of sports development programming through our Canlan Hockey Academy, B.C. Centre of Excellence, and Canlan Soccer Academy. With over 1.5 million annual visits Canlan Ice Sports Burnaby 8 Rinks is a hub of activity playing host to several past large scale and on going events that have included: 2008 World Broomball Championships, 2009 World Police Fire Games, The Challenge Cup, BC Summer Skate, Vancouver Canucks training camps, several corporate hockey tournaments and minor hockey related events. Canlan Ice Sports Burnaby 8 Rinks is also home to the largest recreational adult hockey and indoor soccer leagues in Metro Vancouver with over 500 teams participating annually in the ASHL (Adult Safe Hockey League) and 140 teams in the Indoor Soccer Leagues.
