Canlan Ice Sports-Regina also offers programs designed to meet all levels of a hockey players needs.
Starting right at the basics of Learn to Skate and Tips for Tots for the young players looking to start the game of hockey to players who are looking to continually improve their game by taking part in specialized programs as Defensemen, Forward and Goalie Camps to highly paced conditioning camps designed to get players ready for the upcoming season. No matter what your skill level of hockey is we will be able to accommodate your needs at Canlan Ice Sports-Regina
Canlan Ice Sports-Regina is also the place to send your son or daughter for one or more weeks throughout the summer months or during the holiday periods of Easter Break and Christmas Holidays.
The camps are designed to keep your son or daughter occupied throughout the day by introducing them to a number of on and off ice activities that are intended to be first and foremost fun, but at the same time develop their skating and hockey skills as well as other fun games and activities.

Coed Adult Power Skating & Hockey Skills |

Adult Powerskating & Hockey Skills program is offered as a co-ed program. This adult program is for new players who want to improve their existing skills, and for “rusty” players that want to get back into the game. The program will focus on proper; skating, shooting, passing techniques. This program will assist players with feeling comfortable joining the ASHL, or returning to it for the fall season. Full equipment is mandatory. |

| Hockey Fundamentals |

Hockey Fundamentals program was designed for 1st year house league players to teach the techniques and skills used in the game of hockey. The program will include power skating, stick handling or dribbling of the puck stationary, throw pylons, traffic as well as passing, shooting, stopping, turns, puck protection and game play. All drills are taught at a basic level, as a building block. As players become more comfortable and the technique is mastered or learned their speed will develop. | Designed for 6 & 7 year old players, this program is intended to improve young players with high tempo drills. Proper technique in skating and puck control are introduced as a building block. Powerskating & Hockey Skills

Power Skating & Hockey Skills is designed for players that require extra practice time. Since Hockey is 95% skating, this program will focus on proper technique in the skating stride forwards, backwards, edges, stopping & balance. The program will also cover proper technique in puck control, passing, receiving, and don’t forget shooting. The Power Skating & Hockey Skills program will help players improve their individual skills, but will also allow the players to advance their game!!! Full equipment is mandatory including neck gaurd |

The program has been designed to teach new skaters proper skating techniques in all areas, this is done through demonstration, participation and fun. CSA Aprroved Helmets with full cage mandatory. |

There are 3 levels of Learn to skate; Parent & Tot Learn to skate is for skaters age 3-5 not ready to learn to skate on their own. Youth Learn to Skate has been designed for the older skaters age 7 –13 who are interested in learning how to skate for the first time! It is never too late to learn how to skate! The program has been designed to teach new skaters proper skating techniques in all areas, this is done through demonstration, participation and fun. Players will be split up according to their skill level. CSA Aprroved Helmets with full cage mandatory. |

Skating, Shooting and Scoring
|

This program will focus primarily on skating, shooting and scoring, but will also include passing, receiving and of course conditioning. Players will learn detailed puck control in a stationary position as well as while in motion, this to ensure that players understand the art of stick handling (dribbling the puck). In addition, players will learn the often neglected skill of shooting the puck with proper technique to ensure both velocity and accuracy. This program is aimed to improve the “Individual Skills” of players. Improvement starts with consistent repetition, dedication and desire to be the best. All drills will be taught at a level where players will advance their overall skill and take their game to the next level. Full equipment is mandatory including neck guard |

Powerskating

Powerskating is designed for Intermediate Players wishing to improve their skating. Powerskating is especially great for house league players. At Canlan Ice Sports Hockey Academy, skating is everything and since hockey is 95% skating! Players will learn and practice proper technique to increase their balance, speed, edge control, body position and stride. All drills have been developed to advance players by learning the “how” and training their leg muscles the proper technique to achieve success and speed to improve. Ringette Conditioning and Skills

Stay in top game shape year round with the best Ringette programs in Regina. This program has been designed to condition and develop players overall skills. In addition the program will focus on advanced ring control skills (as well as passing, receiving and shooting), game situation skills and offensive and defensive play. This program will be taught by our Head instructors and requires sacrifice, sweat and the inner desire to be the best. All drills will be taught at a high tempo and an aggressive coaching style to ensure players receive the most out of the camp. Full equipment is mandatory including neck guard |
