Our state of the art, 4-pad facility is home to over 500 Adult Safe Hockey League (ASHL) teams over the course of a year, competing in part of the largest adult recreational hockey league of its kind anywhere, with over 50,000 participants across North America.  Registering both men’s and women’s teams in numerous competitive and recreational divisions on each night of the week, the ultimate prize of the Eastern Regional Championship & the North American Championship is what’s at stake.

The Thirsty Penguin Restaurant (Click Here to view our restaurant menu in PDF format) is located upstairs, with a spectacular view overlooking the action on all 4 NHL rinks.  Our satellite television system featuring 40 TV's, 10 flatscreen LCD TV's and 2 large projector screens show all the sporting events you could imagine.  With seating for over 400 people, the Thirsty Penguin is the perfect place for your corporate outing, sporting banquet or kid's party. Maple Leaf Foods brings over 1,500 employees and family members to participate in their annual Christmas skate with lunch at our facility.

You can even call us for your catering needs! We specialize in corporate lunches catered to your needs.  We also offer many special menus and facilities for birthday parties, office parties and business meetings.

The Hockey Store, conveniently located on-site, is well-stocked to satisfy your basic needs: skate sharpening, tape or laces, as well as a full line of traditional one-piece sticks, blades and composite shafts from leading manufacturers. Your team can purchase team jerseys, socks, tracksuits and other apparel throughout the year. For those who need to get the stink out of their equipment, our Esporta equipment washing service is an easy and cost effective way to sanitize your sporting gear properly. Learn more about the Esporta service by click here.

Beyond The Next Level Sports Medicine and Training Centre (BTNL) will also make sure you’re at the top of your game all season long.  Located in the main lobby, visit them for your sports specific training and conditioning needs, or for many of the other services offered.

Community Partnerships

Canlan Ice Sports Oakville is the home of the Oakville Jr. Ice of the Provincial Women's Hockey League (PWHL).  We are also the host facility for several tournaments throughout the year including the Minor Oaks Hockey Association’s “Richard Bell Memorial” (MOHA), the Oakville Hornets, the Brampton Cougars, UFCW, LBMAO, LCF, Sapphire Technologies Canada, Praxair, St. Lawrence Cement & the French Hockey League's Cougar Cup.

With a strong focus on charitable work in the community and surrounding areas through our 'Canlan for Communities' initiative, we have had a huge success with our Pink Ribbon women's tournaments, the Fill the Net for Hunger campaign and our continuing support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton & the annual Play for the Cause Charity Tournament. Canlan Ice Sports Oakville is also a proud member of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce.
