In Freestyle skating, or Singles Freestyle skating, a competitive skater performs a program that lasts anywhere from 1 to 4-1/2 minutes, is composed of elements such as jumps and spins, and is usually skated to music.

| The Basic Skills 1-8 program offers quality instruction on many comprehensive skill levels using the United States Figure Skating guidelines and standards. Professional instructors will conduct classes in a positive atmosphere, making learning to skate a fun experience for recreational, hockey and figure skaters of all ages. |

These are entry level classes which have been specifically designed for children under the age of five. The most elementary skating skills are combined with fun and games in order to capture and retain the children’s attention and concentration. |
