Canlan Ice Sports - Burnaby 8 Rinks is more than just an ice rink. The Thirsty Penguin Grill House is the perfect place to relax after the game, offering customers a wide selection of tasty food & beverage menu creations and views of all 8 facility surfaces. Equipped with the latest satellite technology, 2 big screen TV's and fourteen 27" televisions, you will never miss your favorite match.

The Hockey Store, located on-site, is well-stocked and carries a wide selection of top quality hockey and soccer gear to satisfy your basic needs. From traditional one-piece wood sticks to the highly revolutionized one piece composite sticks, shafts and replacement blades, you're sure to find what you're looking for at The Hockey Store.  Plus, we also offer several other valuable services including on-site skate sharpening (2 machines to limit your wait time), hockey and goalie equipment rentals and team apparel purchase options to complete your team look. We've got you covered from head to toe!

Canlan Ice Sports- Burnaby 8 Rinks is also the official home of the B.C. Centre of Excellence. Under the direction of Joanne McLeod, the Skate Canada B.C. Centre of Excellence is the home of World and Olympic competitors and National and International Champions including the 3-time Canadian Men’s Champion and 3-time Grand Prix Final Men’s Champion – Emmanuel Sandhu. Preparations are already underway for the 2010 Olympics!

Throughout the year, Canlan Ice Sports- Burnaby 8 Rinks has become highly recognized within the community and amongst several organizations and associations as a top class venue for hosting major events. 8 Rinks is dedicated to providing the highest quality of customer service. At Burnaby 8 Rinks the experience is everything.

Since 1995, Burnaby 8 Rinks has been the official training facility for the Vancouver Canucks and has hosted several of their official training camps. As well, throughout the year numerous large scale events have taken place, including Bell's Making the Cut Reality TV series; Challenge Cup Hockey Tournament; Michael Cuccione Foundation Skate For A Cure; B.C. Summer Skate; WinterFest; B.C. Hydro Hockey Tournament; International Firefighters Tournament; International Air Traffic Controlers Tournament; World Broom Ball Championships; World Police & Fire Games (2009); Cliff Avenue United Soccer Tournament; BMHA Female Remembrance Day Tournament; VTMHA Atom C International Tournament and many more.
